2021 marks the 130th anniversary of Children North East.
Throughout our history we have supported children across the region to help them grow up to be healthy and happy, adapting our work and our services to provide support where it’s needed most. We provide support through every stage of growing up across the North East, from pregnancy and early years through to young people entering adulthood.
Our range of projects include work with schools to address the inequalities faced by children living in poverty; counselling; peer mentoring and group activities for young people; psychotherapy for expectant parents and new parents to help them bond with their baby and support of families facing many challenges including domestic abuse and breakdown in relationships.
Our fundraising has been hugely hindered over this past year following the impact of Coronavirus whilst our vital work is needed more than ever during the pandemic. Covid-19 is having a detrimental impact on so many of the babies, children, young people and families that we work with, impacting on mental health, education, safety and wellbeing and more.
Your donation to our 130th Anniversary Appeal will help ensure that we can continue to support some of the most disadvantaged children and their families in the region, now and in the months to come. You can donate directly through our website on the button below and you can also donate £5 using your mobile phone by texting 130TH to 70460 – texts cost £5 plus one standard rate message.
