DESCRIPTION:Great North Run 2027 | Join #TeamCNE\nThe Great North Run is back\, and #TeamCNE is ready to make every mile matter! \nAs the world’s largest half marathon\, the Great North Run takes you on an unforgettable 13.1-mile journey through Newcastle\, Gateshead and South Shields\, cheered on by thousands of supporters along the way. In 2027\, Children North East has 70 charity places available\, and we’d love for you to be part of the team. \nWhether you’re an experienced runner chasing a new goal\, tackling your first half marathon\, or simply looking for a challenge that makes a real difference\, #TeamCNE is for everyone. You don’t need to be the fastest runner on the course. You just need determination\, enthusiasm\, and a desire to help transform the lives of babies\, children and young people across the North East. \nEvery step you take and every pound you raise will help Children North East continue supporting local babies\, children\, young people and families to overcome challenges and thrive. \n\nYour Fundraising Pledge\nBy taking one of our charity places\, we ask that you pledge to raise £350. \nUnlike ballot places\, charity places come at a cost to Children North East. We pay £68 to Great Run for each place we secure\, giving supporters who may not have gained a ballot entry the opportunity to take part while raising vital funds for local children and young people. \nWe know fundraising can feel daunting\, especially during challenging times\, but you won’t be doing it alone. Our friendly fundraising team will support you every step of the way with ideas\, resources\, encouragement and expert advice to help you reach your target. \nMost importantly\, your fundraising will make a real difference. £35 can provide one counselling session for a child or young person who has experienced abuse or trauma.
