Change Childhoods. \n \n\nAre you ready for your biggest challenge yet? \n\nIn September 2027\, we’re looking for one determined runner to take on the incredible Snowdonia Sea2Sky Ultra Marathon and raise vital funds for Children North East. \nThis spectacular 54km trail race starts on the shores of Barmouth Beach before heading deep into the stunning landscapes of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. Along the way\, you’ll climb to the summit of Cadair Idris before returning to the coast\, completing an unforgettable journey that will test your endurance\, resilience and determination. \nBut this challenge is about more than crossing the finish line. \nEvery pound you raise will help Children North East provide life-changing support to babies\, children\, young people and families across our region\, helping them to improve their mental health\, strengthen relationships and build brighter futures. \n\n\nThe Challenge\n\n54km trail ultra marathon\nEryri (Snowdonia) National Park\nFirst weekend of September 2027 (date TBC)\n8:00am start\n12-hour cut-off time\nMinimum age: 20 years\n\nWhether you’re an experienced marathon runner looking for your next goal or a seasoned trail runner ready for a new adventure\, this challenge offers the chance to achieve something extraordinary while making a real difference. \nWhat Could Your Fundraising Achieve?\nOur chosen runner will commit to raising a minimum of £1\,000\, supported by friends\, family\, colleagues and\, where available\, employer match funding\, helping every mile go even further for local children and young people. \nIf you raised £2\,000\, you could fund 57 counselling sessions for children who have experienced abuse. \nThat’s 57 opportunities for a child to be listened to\, supported and given the tools they need to begin healing and move forward with confidence. \nWe’ll Support You Every Step of the Way\nWhen you join Team Children North East\, you’ll receive: \n\nFree entry to the event\nFundraising support and resources\nChildren North East running kit\nOpportunities to share your journey through our communications channels\nand much more!\n\nWe’ll be with you from sign-up to finish line\, helping you maximise your fundraising and make the most of this incredible experience. \nReady to Take on the Challenge?\nOne runner.
