SUMMARY:Walk the North East: 100 Mile Virtual Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Walk 100 Miles in 2025 – Anytime\, Anywhere! \nJoin #TeamCNE fundraisers in our Walk the North East: 100 Mile Virtual Challenge—a flexible challenge you can start at any time throughout the year! Take on this exciting journey to raise essential funds\, providing babies\, children\, and young people with the support they need when it matters most. \nWhy 100 miles? The North East region we serve spans 100 miles from Berwick-upon-Tweed to Teesside. By taking part\, you’ll be symbolically covering the length of our wonderful region while making a real impact. \nStart your challenge today and step up for children and families in need! \nWhy should I take part? \nWe know you’re on this page because like us you share the belief that everyone deserves a happy\, healthy childhood\, but here are three more reasons to take part…   \n\nYou’ll have support from our incredible fundraising team. \n\n\nReceive regular helpful and motivational updates. \n\n\nBe part of something BIG on JustGiving. \n\n\nIf you raise £150 you receive a charity t-shirt. \n\n\nEveryone taking part will receive a certificate and thank you letter. \n\nRead our FAQs for more information about how to get involved. \n  \nFAQs  \nHow do I take part?  \nTo take part\, you simply need to set up a JustGiving page for your challenge to share and receive sponsorship (and to shout about what an amazing thing your doing!!).   \nSetting up your JustGiving page is super simple. Follow the link above\, and click ‘Fundraise for us’ which will automatically fill in a picture and story for you to tweak the way you would like it. If you’re stuck please feel free to reach out to our team for support! You can get in touch with us at fundraising@children-ne.org.uk \n  \nHow do I track my walked distance?  \nMany of us have devices in our homes that can do the tracking for us\, including our phones. work out one which suits you and keep it on you to keep up your tracking. If you’re only able to record steps\, the walk is 234\,000 steps! Pedometers are available for a few pounds from shops\, including Amazon\, if you do not have anything suitable already.   \n  \nI would prefer to collect the money myself\, is that OK?  \nOf course! Just let our team know you are taking part by contacting fundraising@children-ne.org.uk and we can send you any useful sponsorship documents you might need\, as well as adding you to the Challenge mailing list.  \n  \nCan Under 18s take part?  \nAbsolutely! We think it is very special when young people fundraise in support of other young lives. The only change would be that an adult would need to set up and manage their JustGiving page\, due to age requirements on the site.   \n  \n100 Miles is too much of a challenge for me\, can I still take part?  \nSome adults or younger children you may need to adjust the length of the challenge to an appropriate length for their abilities or lifestyle. We understand this and you can definitely still be part of the Walk the North East experience! Simply pick a number that feels like the right challenge for you.  \n  \nHow do I get my t-shirt?  \nThe team will be in touch when you hit the £150 target to get the size you need and the address to send it to. If you are collecting sponsorship yourself\, just let us know when you hit that special milestone.  \n  \nWhen I can I start the challenge? \nWhenever works best for you. You could do it over a month\, 6 weeks\, or 6 months if you wanted too. Adjust the timeline to fit with your life\, that’s fine by us. We are just grateful to have you as part of our community.  \n  \nDo I need to provide evidence of my miles?  \nNo\, we trust you! \n  \n If you have any further questions\, please reach out to start the conversation with our Fundraising Team: fundraising@children-ne.org.uk
