Calendar Competition Terms and Conditions

The Children North East 2022 Calendar Competition is governed by the following Terms and Conditions:

  1. The competition is only open to UK residents. Any overseas entries will not be considered.
  2. You need to provide Children North East with your name, email address and whether you are over/under 16 years of age if you would like to enter the competition. Children North East will only ever use your personal details for the purpose of administering the competition, and will not publish them or provide them to anyone without your permission.  If you would like to know more about Children North East’s Privacy Policy, you can find it here: https://children-ne.org.uk/privacy-policy/
  3. Your entries will not be returned to you.
  4. The competition closes on 30 September 2021.
  5. If you are under 16 years of age, you must obtain your parent or guardian’s permission before entering the competition.
  6. A panel of judges will be appointed and their decision will be final.
  7. You agree to take part in any competition publicity if asked to do so. The prize is to appear in our 2022 Calendar.  The first prize winner will received £100 of shopping vouchers donated by Waitrose and the runner-up £30 of shopping vouchers. There are no cash alternatives.
  8. By entering the competition, entrants grant the right for Children North East to use their photos without payment for a calendar which will be sold in aid of Children North East; entries may also be published in any media.
  9. You must supply full details as required above, and comply with all rules to be eligible for the prize. No responsibility is accepted for ineligible entries or entries made fraudulently.
  10. By submitting your photograph to Children North East you agree to grant us free of charge the right to publish and the right to licence others to publish the photograph online and in all media as required for the purposes of the competition.
  11. Your entry must be entirely your own original work, not defame anybody nor breach any copyright.
  12. Children North East reserves the right to cancel this competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside our control.
  13. If a winning entrant is unable to be contacted after reasonable attempts have been made to do so, Children North East reserves the right to either offer the prize to the next best entry, or to re-offer the prize in any future competition on children-ne.org.uk.
  14. Children North East reserves the right to disqualify any entry which breaches any of these rules or to withhold a prize if in its opinion entries do not reach the required standard.
  15. These rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
