Hope for Christmas

Every Christmas, supporters like you, ask us how you can help babies, children, young people and their families in the North East who need a helping hand and the need for your support has never been greater.

For many families we work with the full financial repercussions of the pandemic are only just being felt, whilst for others their children’s mental health or school attainment still hasn’t recovered from the upheaval of the last two years. Children North East’s work has never been more needed and we are committed to being there for babies, children and young people every step of the way.

How you can help

We are asking you to give a child a lifechanging gift this Christmas.

Not toys, presents or chocolate but the year-round stability and support children so urgently need at this time. By making a donation or fundraising towards our Hope for Christmas campaign, you are ensuring that support is always there for our region’s children and their families, not just on Christmas day.

What will the impact be

Your donations will help to give babies, children and young people:

  • Better mental health – through our counselling and wellbeing services for children

  • A safer home – by providing crisis services and support to help families protect their children and stay together

  • Improved access to education – by working in partnership with schools to remove barriers facing pupils living in poverty

  • A brighter future – through peer mentoring to build self-esteem, confidence and social skills
