Walk the North East: 100 Mile Virtual Challenge

March 1 - March 31

Walk 100 miles in March

Join #TeamCNE fundraisers taking on our Walk the North East: 100 Mile Virtual Challenge in March. Take on this exciting challenge to raise essential funds to provide babies, children and young people with support when they need it most.

Why 100 miles? The North East region we serve is 100 miles from Berwick-upon-Tweed to Teesside, so by taking part you’ll be taking on the length of our wonderful region.

Three reasons to take part this March

We know you’re on this page because like us you share the belief that everyone deserves a happy, healthy childhood, but here are three more reasons to take part…

  • You’ll have support from our incredible fundraising team.
  • Receive regular helpful and motivational updates.
  • Be part of something BIG on JustGiving.
  • If you raise £150 you receive a charity t-shirt.
  • Everyone taking part will receive a certificate and thank you letter.

FAQs

How do I take part?

To take part, you simply need to set up a JustGiving page for your challenge and connect it to the community challenge page we’ve set up.

Setting up your JustGiving page is super simple. Follow the link above, which will automatically fill in a picture and story for you to tweak the way you would like it. If you’re stuck please feel free to reach out to our team for support! You can get in touch with us at [email protected]

How do I track my walked distance?

Many of us have devices in our homes that can do the tracking for us, including our phones. work out one which suits you and keep it on you to keep up your tracking. If you’re only able to record steps, the walk is 234,000 steps! Pedometers are available for a few pounds from shops, including Amazon, if you do not have anything suitable already.

I would prefer to collect the money myself, is that OK?

Of course! Just let our team know you are taking part by contacting [email protected] and we can send you any useful sponsorship documents you might need, as well as adding you to the Challenge mailing list.

Can Under 18s take part?

Absolutely! We think it is very special when young people fundraise in support of other young lives. The only change would be that an adult would need to set up and manage their JustGiving page, due to age requirements on the site.

100 Miles is too much of a challenge for me, can I still take part?

Some adults or younger children you may need to adjust the length of the challenge to an appropriate length for their abilities or lifestyle. We understand this and you can definitely still be part of the Walk the North East experience! Simply pick a number that feels like the right challenge for you.

How do I get my t-shirt?

The team will be in touch when you hit the £150 target to get the size you need and the address to send it to. If you are collecting sponsorship yourself, just let us know when you hit that special milestone.

Can I start early or late?

Yes! The challenge officially starts in March, however if you want to adjust the timeline to fit with your life, that’s fine by us. We are just grateful to have you as part of our community.

Do I need to provide evidence of my miles?

No, we trust you!
