Our Flagship Shop

In October 2025, Children North East opened our first flagship shop bringing a new income stream to support life-changing services for babies, children, young people and their families across the North East.

Located in the historic market town of Morpeth, Children North East Est 1891 hosts two floors of quality second-hand clothing, homeware, books, toys and more.

Our mission is to create a vibrant, sustainable future by giving fashion and lifestyle items a second life and turning kindness into action. Every donation and purchase will help fund programmes and initiatives that provide meaningful change for the next generation.

How to find us

We are located at 42 Bridge St, Morpeth NE61 1NL
You'll find us just opposite The Black Bull Pub and next to Lollo Rosso Italia
We're open Tuesday - Saturday, 10am - 4pm and can be easily accessed via public transport.

How to donate

We readily welcome donations of any of the following:
· Womenswear, menswear and childrenswear
· Accessories such as shoes, bags, hats, scarves and jewellery
· Homeware and decorative items such as ornaments, vases, artwork, glassware, and kitchenware
· Children’s toys, books and games
· Books – fiction and non-fiction
· Jigsaws, games, PC and console games
· Small furniture items
Donations are accepted Tuesday-Saturday 10am-4pm. There is a loading bay outside the shop for quick drop-offs.
Please note: we currently do not offer delivery or collection.

How to volunteer

As a Volunteer Retail Assistant, you will be an integral part of our retail team!
We welcome anyone with or without relevant experience. All we ask is you are an approachable and enthusiastic person, keen to learn and support a wide range of retail activities.
You’ll gain valuable experience in everything from processing till transactions and signing up customers to Gift Aid to processing stock donations and merchandising the shop floor.
We offer flexible volunteering and the camaraderie of a welcoming team committed to creating positive community impact.
We are currently only accepting applications from those over 18 years old. If you are 16-18 and would like to volunteer, please email [email protected] FAO Bethany to have a chat about future opportunities.
