Our Funders

We receive support from a range of wonderful local, regional, national and international funders. This funding enables us to make a real difference to the lives of babies, children, young people and their families in the North East. We are thankful to every one of our incredible supporters. Below are some examples of how recent funding is helping children grow up healthy and happy:

Players of the People's Postcode Lottery

Players of the People's Postcode Lottery have supported Children North East for 16 years, providing over £4.2 million to help babies, children and young people in the region grow up happy and healthy.

Kavli Trust

Kavli Trust are funding Children North East to battle the impact of child poverty in our region through its Poverty Proofing the School Day programme, in collaboration with sixty schools across the North East.

Newcastle City Council

Newcastle City Council fund Children North East to deliver a range of programmes for residents of the City, including an extensive city-wide Sexual Health programme, and parent support services Ways to Wellbeing programme and Little Minds in Mind.

Children and Families Newcastle

Our Cowgate location is an Inner West Family Hub within the Children & Families Newcastle network. Funded by UK Government, Hubs provide services that support children and families to get the help they want and need.

NCS (National Citizen Service)

NCS fund Children North East to deliver its community experience programme, supporting young people from communities across Sunderland, Gateshead, South Tyneside and Durham County to become ‘world ready and work ready’.

Northumbria Police and Crime Commissioner

Northumbria PCC provides funding for our SAFE (Sexual Abuse Family Engagement) programme, for young victims of sexual abuse and their families, reaching hundreds of victims of abuse every year.
