Our Patron, Tim Healy, backs Children North East Appeal

“It’s disadvantaged communities that are going to get hit the hardest by this terrible virus.”

Our patron, the much-loved Geordie actor who grew up in the West End of Newcastle where our charity is based, has made a heartfelt video appeal on behalf of Children North East.

“Many, many parents have lost their livelihoods and are finding it so difficult to feed their children or even to give them basic necessities,” he says.  “But with your help we can make a difference.”

Tim speaks of his pride at being patron of Children North East and adds:

“Every year we support thousands of babies and children and young people and the charity’s expert advice is needed now more than ever before.  If you can donate to Children North East you’ll be able to take the burden off these parents and help their children have a much, much better, healthier life.”

If you can afford to donate £5, please text HOPE to 70490.  Texts cost £5 plus your standard rate message.

 “Stay safe, lots of love”
