Blue’s Sad Day

£7.50

Blue’s Sad Day at School follows a young monster named Blue who lives with his family in poverty. Despite their hard work, Blue’s parents struggle to make ends meet. Throughout one normal day at school, Blue faces the challenges of living in poverty and starts to think about who could help him.

This heartfelt story is an introduction to the realities of poverty, seen through the eyes of a child. Our Peer Ambassadors at Marden High School wrote this story to be shared with children in schools, aiming to raise awareness about the effects of poverty and reduce the stigma faced by disadvantaged pupils.

Illustrated by Eva Cheng, copyright Children North East. Written by Alice Bain, Matilda Calboutin, Imogen Kinney, Leah Mayo and Mia Pritchard. Compiled by George Gardner.
