Our Funders

We receive support from a range of wonderful local, regional, national and international funders. This funding enables us to make a real difference to the lives of babies, children, young people and their families in the North East. We are thankful to every one of our incredible supporters. Below are some examples of how recent funding is helping children grow up healthy and happy:

Players of the People's Postcode Lottery

Players of the People's Postcode Lottery have supported Children North East for 16 years, providing over £4.2 million to help babies, children and young people in the region grow up happy and healthy.

Kavli Trust

Kavli Trust are funding Children North East to the impact of child poverty across the North East and UK through streamlining and scaling the work, invest in our Young Ambassadors programme, develop training, workshops and guides, secure external evaluations of the programmes and continue to amplify children and young people's voice to influence and campaign for an equitable experience for all children no matter their background.

Newcastle City Council

Newcastle City Council fund Children North East to deliver a range of services for residents of the City, including an extensive city-wide Sexual Health programme, and parent support services Ways to Wellbeing programme and Little Minds in Mind.

Children and Families Newcastle

Our Cowgate location is an Inner West Family Hub within the Children & Families Newcastle network. Funded by UK Government, Children and families can access different services and activities in buildings they know in their local area, along with getting the support they want and need

Northumbria Police and Crime Commissioner

Northumbria PCC provides funding for our SAFE (Sexual Abuse Family Engagement) programme, for young victims of sexual abuse and their families, reaching hundreds of victims of abuse every year.

Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear NHS Foundation Trust

CNTW NHS Foundation Trust provides funding for our Masquer-Aid programme, supporting young people who have recently found out they are neurodivergent or are waiting for a diagnosis. The Trust also funds our Counselling programmes, offering a wide range of services to meet the needs of young people across the region.
